Include a general discussion of sources you have found. Your topic is your subject; your hypothesis is the question or questions that you are asking about it. It will probably contain a “What” or “Why” or “How.” Note that you are not using internet web pages as sources in this research. Neither are you using encyclopedias, dictionaries, films, or Wikipedia. You are limiting your research sources to books and journal articles from peer-reviewed sources. That means popular magazines — anything you find on the newsstand— is not acceptable. Non-academic books, such as coffee table books or books are written by persons who do not have academic degrees are also not acceptable. For most topics, you are going to want current material. An article about ADD that was written in 1980 is out of date.
